View from the hill…..

A mild ,sunny autumnal day. Could we not have had a bit more of this at harvest time?
Another full on day of cattle work.
Took the Angus bull away from the spring calving cows and ferried him across in the trailer to the field of bulling heifers . He didn’t seem to be complaining !
Then gave the calves their pneumonia vaccine and put them and their mothers back to the field. They will get another vaccine in 4 weeks when we wean them.
An afternoon spent tagging calves and sorting them out,then back home to get things ready for the bruiser coming in the morning to do the pile of barley left in the shed.
No doubt this mornings view of Edinburgh will look more like WW3 tonight as it's bonfire night and already parts of the bandit areas are getting ready for chaos.
