Mown

The wildflower meadow in the park (foreground) has been mown for the first time in two years.  We’ll see what difference that makes next year - certainly I had the sense that a lot of the ground flora (e.g. orchids) were strangled out this year, and my butterfly records were way down, but they were way down everywhere.

Meanwhile, I’m still enjoying scuffling along through piles of dry, fallen leaves.
