Frantic

Sorry, crap photo, not really improved by putting a silly filter on it. It's been such a hectic day I haven't had a moment to take a photo. Mrs O is on her fortnightly trip to London so she can show her ace in her employer's office. After getting the boy off to nursery (where he's going until the end of the week to give us time to get things done) I spent the morning starting to straighten out both the house and the holiday cottage before our departure and move into the tent on Friday. So much done, but so much more to do.

This afternoon was spent dealing with the builders, electricians, plumber and decorator to go through what needed doing in each room in the house. Then I had to collect the boy, play, read, cook, eat, brush his teeth, bathe him, read to him again and get him to bed.

I'm pooped, and it'll be more of the same tomorrow.

So, what you have here is the slightly uninspiring view of our next door neighbour's garden, taken from their holiday cottage. What you can't see is that it's raining. We've had a 'heatwave' since the start of the month (what used, years ago, to be known simply as 'summer') and it's been sunny, hot and bone dry for weeks. Some rain, and slightly cooler temperatures, are quite a relief.
