Fundamentally floored

This is our study (as you can probably tell).

Our builder was wondering why there was damp coming up through the floor. Then he discovered that the floor was the thinnest possible layer of uneven concrete (barely a centimetre) laid down on bare earth. He's dug the whole lot up and will build a new floor. I could plant a flower bed in there right now if I wanted to.

I miss my home.
