Buskers
These are not just buskers, they are M&S buskers. And rather good they were too - The Stormy Tuesdays blues band. I removed my reflection from the shot but left mrsfb in, you might have to go large to see her!
We've been to Oxford today to meet up with daughter#1 and her 'boys'. We didn't think we would see the grandsons this week but we had a last minute invitation last night to meet up for lunch. That was very good too - Lebanese which we hadn't done before. The only disappointment was that I asked if they had a beer with a nice top for my collection, and they said yes, Beirut Beer. When it came though it had an abomination of a top, with a ring pull. No design apart from two arrows to indicate how to pull, and too small anyway for my holder. I hope this isn't a direction beer packaging is moving. I've still got 13 holes to fill.
Some shopping was then done. While I was waiting outside a shop a guy came up to me and asked if I knew what clouds tasted like. I said probably nothing but he thought maybe marshmallows, or cotton candy. Oh well.
In other news Oxford buses have gone electric. ElectriCITY, quieter travel across Oxford, hear birds not buses .... Great but I don't think they've really thought it through. You can't hear them gliding up behind you in the pedestrian areas. I spotted one out of the corner of my eye and got out of the way, but mrsfb had a near miss with one, not seeing or hearing it. I hope it's not an 'accident waiting to happen'. Daughter#1 said the electric buses in London are not totally silent like these so you do hear them coming. Also on the subject of buses we had to stand all the way back to the Park & Ride. We were the last 2 to get on, so at least we were then the first off.
In the extra another busker. He was good too. I blipped him in 2023 before he went fully electric too!
