Corn and Cabbage

We walked along the Puffing Billy Railway Line at Havant this morning. It’s now a walking and cycling route which eventually runs along the coast to the southern tip of Hayling Island. We didn’t go that far and instead turned off to loop around the coast at Langstone. It was interesting for Andy to point out fields and streams where he played with his friends as a young boy. Here you can see the old windmill building which was active until WW1 as a corn mill and powered by the stream and the tide. The white building is the Royal Oak pub.

Good to:
- Mulsh the asparagus bed at the allotment.
- Be in the fresh air being active - walking both this morning and this afternoon, and at the allotment. It’s particularly good for the soul on grey days like today.
- To pick my first ever home grown red cabbage. Recipe/cooking suggestions most welcome!
