Architecture

I pass over this bridge most days but usually I’m looking at the stream flowing under it rather than the bridge itself. As Merlin paddled in the water after his walk today I noticed how the bricks are quite worn and scattered with lichen. In times of heavy rain I have seen the water level come nearly to the top of the three small arches.

Good to:
- Bake another batch of rolls. We got through the last lot rather quickly.
- To have a long, slow ramble around the meadow this morning with Merlin’s whippet friend ‘Bertie’ and his owner.
- To have another still and dry day, although it’s unseasonably warm.
