Peach orchard in autumn
I took Tom down to the station to catch the replacement bus this morning. By lunchtime he was in Barcelona. I spent the morning doing all the necessary reservations for a trip to the UK at Christmas. We will actually spend Christmas day in France and then travel over. It is logistically nearly impossible to see everyone as we go from place to place given all their commitments but we have just about managed it. As usual, it will be a case of moving from place to place and living out of suitcases but we are used to that. I also did a little in the garden before going to tennis practice. I then received a phone call from Lincolnshire police. Apparently, someone I worked with has been accused of historic sexual abuse 30 years ago and the child who must now be in his forties, remembers a knock on the door and hearing my voice. As the door remained shut, I could not provide any information and do not recollect the incident. I certainly would never have suspected this person of sexual abuse, but we all know that perpetrators can hide in plain sight.
