Pumpkin

WEDNESDAY

A cold and grey day. The furthest I ventured was the end of the drive in order to put the bins out and I failed miserably on my step count today.

I have carved the pumpkin which has been sitting in the kitchen for the last couple of weeks and it's now ready to go outside tomorrow. I tested it out for the photo using a battery torch, but tomorrow it will be fitted with a paraffin burner.

I don't remember seeing pumpkins as a child but we always used to make a "turnip lantern" around this time of year.
