Send your camel to bed
Today we were up and at it
Uber into town to the park outside the National museum. It's a work of art in itself - we've been inside but it was just as amazing to stand outside in awe
Si and I did the Bus tour the first year we were here..... Missed about three quarters of it because the ear pieces weren't working ...
We checked them all out this time
The wind was pretty strong but it meant that the burn from the sun was less. Although we are here about 2 weeks later than we normally are.... The temperature is down from 40. To 34. Almost bearable. Almost
The trip is great. Down to Sharq where we stayed last year, past the museum and the souq down to the port of Doha Along the corniche towards the pearl and Lusail over to west bay
I'm starting to get my feet. I wonder if it's going to be any more use to me
We stopped off at a BIG shopping mall and found food and some relief from the heat. I also found a Skechers shop and located the slip on Skechers which are 110 at home for 55. Winner!!!
Back on the bus. Round the pearl where we laughed at the rolls Royce and bently shops. And then back to the souq
The camels were all out grazing. Either for sale or in preparation of the racing. The souq animal market is a bit in your face, birds, including song birds, parrots, falcons" pigeons, animals, including dogs, kittens, monkeys and tortoises all in one place. All squawkijg squeaking screaming and barking
We stood outside and enjoyed the quiet dignity of the camels.
Then we walked through the outside edge of the souq and enjoyed the people watching through the smoke of the shiska pipes...and some interesting smells
Heavens above. It's really only day two and I am exhausted. And there is more coming. Big day tomorrow
