AUTUMN GOLD
A quick turn around the lake in the park at the end of the day, after a visit to the dental hygienist. It had been grey all day but the setting sun broke through and lit up the tops of the trees for a few minutes. A heron had just landed in the branches of the nearest tree across the water. I know they roost in trees but it looked too big and ungainly up there, about 15 feet above the ground (extra).
