Wide on Wednesday - ‘Street Scene’

This is not a street scene with much going on. But that’s Tiptree on a Wednesday at ten past four in the afternoon for you. It’s early closing for some of the older shops on Wednesdays. It’s also half-term at the moment, so there isn’t the normal after-school mini ‘rush hour’ either. Tiptree is (possibly) the largest village in England. It has just one (very over-subscribed) GP surgery. It doesn’t have a high street. This is the main road through the village, which is called Church Road. We villagers have everything we need right here within walking distance. It may not appear to have much going on, but it suits me very well at this stage of life.
