Books, Books, Books
It was our fortnightly house group at Christine’s this morning and, as always, we had an animated discussion and delved into a bit more of Acts.
After lunch I had a reorganisation of my many books, changing where some of them live on the various bookshelves. The ones in the picture are now sorted into groups. On the left there’s a bit of a mixture, but quite a few were written by people I know and/or have worked with over the years. The middle pile is an assortment of books on faith and Christianity, which I thought looked interesting and thought-provoking. To the right is a selection of historical books and novels. Many of these books have been signed by the authors. Some I bought new, some used from charity shops and libraries, and some I got from work, sent to production offices by publishers and surplus to requirements - if nobody wanted them they were sent off, I believe, to be pulped. I don’t yet have anywhere for all of these to go, but hopefully will have space after some more reorganising and weeding out of books to give away.
One thing is for sure - I will never be stuck for something to read.
