Clematis seed poof!

Yesterday, I trimmed the developing seeds off the clematis plant. I've done this before normally throwing them in the garden waste container, but yesterday I left them on the back deck because I wanted to do a Blipfoto with them. I took a picture yesterday but submitted the Buddha & Bee Balm picture instead. When I came home today they were still on the deck but many of them had "poofed" - you can see some of them in their original condition still - kinda spongy and firm.
