Coronet Peak …..

….. ….. ….. towering over the Shotover River.

My newly-returned neighbour and I had a very pleasant relaxed walk up the Lower Shotover track this morning, enjoying the scenery and the warmth. We also noticed that nesting terns hadn’t been swept away with the recent high river levels - what a relief to see that. I did see nesting banded dotterels last year but there was no sign of any this morning.
