A bit of sun

A leisurely start to the day, although the two girls decided to get up early to see the sunrise and go for a run . . . always best not to question teenagers about the surprising things they can decide to do!

We then decided to make the most of a bright morning and go to Bassenthwaite, where there would be few people and we knew they would enjoy the walk to the little St Bega’s church . . . they did. Here are the three of them heading back.

We went to The Pheasant for lunch, where our now-vegetarian 18 year old was very pleased with the vegetarian Sunday lunch option - Vegetable Wellington - it looked good.
