While on my runs

Lots of flowers this spring

A short walk this afternoon, as it started to rain just as I was ready to start. After strapping my water resistant bag around my waist I went out anyway.  The rain was enough to wet my T-Shirt, but not my shoes. (The rain is now heavier and seemingly settled in for the night.

Almost everywhere one looks at present there is one or more cabbage trees (Ti  Kouka) and nearly every one is like these, with many clumps of flowers. These trees were cultivated by Maori, especially where the soil was not of high quality.
