Trying to keepcup my enthusiasm

Not a brilliant day really.  It was coffee and a bun with bikey friends in town today, and I rolled out on Mirabel early doors, but I somehow forgot about it while I was cycling there and found myself well on the way to the office.  So bought coffee and a bun there instead.

Work felt like a waste of time, quite honestly.  I get very tired of people doing the old 'slopey shoulders' thing.  I don't mind if you don't actually know the answer, but when I know you do know the answer, don't pretend it's nothing to do with you and send me packing with vague niceties about needing to ask someone else.  And if you send me packing, at least have the good grace to actually suggest someone else I can ask.  And if you give me a name, for crying out loud give me some contact details.  I'm not bloody telepathic.

And so went the merry-go-round all day.

Since I was working in town, but with Not Quite So Random Colleague on his holidays, at lunchtime I went to Waverley to watch the trains to find a Phridayphonebox to find a bank machine.  And maybe to watch the trains a little bit.  But the place was heaving and to be honest it got a bit too much in the end so I sped back to quieter shores, and frustrated my way through the afternoon before giving up a bit early.

Tea was with Mum and Dad and catching up on their news, before the final assault riding home in the mist and the dark.
