The Four Seasons Over Four Years
I came up with an idea for today’s blipversary last night. Woke up this morning thinking about it before 5:00 am. That started my search of portraying the last four years by season. I knew exactly what I wanted for winter shot: the ice storm of 2021. I finally got up when I realized there was no going back to sleep until my collage was complete. So I searched all 2022 spring blips and chose the dogwood; for 2023 summer, it had to be the sunrise over the ocean in the Outer Banks and I shot my fall 2024 from my neighbor’s property. These three maples mark our property boundaries from their side. Blip done. It took hours; I have so many wonderful memories these last four years. Now I can breathe. Thanks to all who follow and encourage me. Thanks to everyone who keeps Blip operating for our use. This is such a fantastic community. We voted today since we will be in Tennessee and then Virginia on 5 November. We may take a bottle of wine for the occasion. Will be so glad when it’s over. I cleaned the kitchen while hubby started his power washing project. We had to move our flower pots off the sidewalk so they are in the basement for the winter. I’ll move the ones in the raised bed another day. It’s time for me to head out with my pruning shears. Lunch and dinner are already prepared so we should be able to relax after wearing ourselves out again. My knees are certainly not happy with me this week. My sister and BIL plan to stop by later. It seems like months since we last saw them. Wishing you a nice visit with someone you love. Stay safe. Blipping early since it will be so late when we sit down again. Thanks for your visit. “The earth is art, the photographer is only a witness.”– Yann Arthus-Bertrand
