BANGERS AND CASH
A rough night last night, just with the sneezles and coughing, but again I did get some sleep so all good.
I feel exhausted now with all the coughing and not too good at all so we had a quiet day and just popped into Thornton-le-Dale - just 2 miles away. A very pretty little village. What is very sad to see is so many now unused and closed shops - but that is the way it is now I suppose.
We did managed to visit Mathewson's - which is the home of Bangers & Cash on the Yesterday channel. It is an observational documentary series which follows the firm of Mathewson's as they buy, repair, restore old classics and sell them on. Hubby and Garron love the series and I find it entertaining.
After visiting Mathewson's we had a coffee and then a walk around the village, very pretty. I started feeling really rough though so we came back.
I have since done most of my packaging, just the usual last minute things to do.
I was hoping to do a really lovely journey home tomorrow but, as it was when we went to Cockermouth way back in March, I think it will be the fastest route home.
Still I can't complain, considering I've not been too well and there has been a named storm we've done pretty well. I've done a few things and been out somewhere every day, even if not far. The weather has been actually reasonably kind to us so I feel blessed about that.
When I come back again, it's going to be a last minute thing so I can be sure I've not got any lurgies or anything (well that's the idea ;-).
I will hopefully see you all again tomorrow once we are back home again.
Do take care youreslves, stay safe and warm.
