A Kiss on the Hair

The name of the woodcut at our second visit to the Munch museum. You are also given the opportunity to do some ‘frottage’ (apparently) with wax and paper over some carvings cut into a table.  This is my version of one of them alongside one of Edvard’s. Having seen his I rather wanted to go back and put more colour in.  V has reverently brought mine home intending to frame it and sign it E Munch so I’ll have to sign it K Harwood first.

We went off solo to buy some trousers as mine are all a bit thin or smart for the trip up the Fjords! We bought a pair at Cos and enjoyed looking in a couple of other shops. We walked over to the hipster area of Grunerlokka for lunch, V ate a Moose burger and I had rather delicious shrimp salad in a dill laden mayonnaise.  We also drank a flight of Norwegian craft beers which were deceptively strong!

We met up with Anu and Marty at the Munch and after seeing the remaining floors had cocktails on the roof at sunset.

We walked to Vikram’s choice of restaurant which was called Arakataka and was very fine indeed.  Walked 18000 steps today…
