It's Just Not Cricket

Well actually it is - it's a speckled bush cricket (I think) and I found it this morning sitting in my dahlias.

I think we had quite a bit of rain overnight, yay!! A large storm woke me up in the early hours, so I grabbed my camera and set about trying to get a shot of lightning out of the bedroom window. I was there for ages snapping away but failed miserably to get anything other than blackness, shame I didn't look up how to photograph lightning before I started as I had been doing it completely wrong :-(, never mind I will know for next time and not just assume that if I snap enough times I'm bound to get something in the end, how wrong can you be ;-))
