Fun in the sun

We had quite a bit to do this morning, sorting things out and cleaning the apartment terraces etc and of course getting some groceries. The food here is eye wateringly expensive compared to England, especially chicken! Gavin also washed the car as I think we had half the insect population of France splattered all over the windscreen.

The boys love it here as it is a small village and they have total freedom to come and go as they please, just hopping on their bikes to get around or even walking. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day today, and usually there is a thunderstorm every afternoon to clear the heat.

While Gavin was washing the car I took Murdoch for a walk (and a swim - every stream or bit of water he sees he jumps straight in). We walked down to the village swimming pool which has an adjacent little reservoir, and found Thomas having fun on the pedal boats with some friends. The boy in the pink top is a friend from school, same year and sometimes they have even been in the same class, who also holidays here. The girl is someone they met at the swimming pool - a great place for all the youngsters to meet children of all nationalities. The cloud building up over the mountain peaks was for the afternoon thunderstorm that is about to break in the next hour or so.
