One Day....

One day I will get a decent shot of this rose - but I had better hurry before it keels over.

There was some time spent in the garage trying to make The Cygnet's piece of fitness equipment..
The turning part went well - it was when I went to drill the holes in the supports for the turned bits when things went t*ts-up........ 
I set up the pillar drill, fitted the correct Forstner drill bit - and it refused to cut. It just spun in the chuck whenever it met the wood.
I have come to the conclusion that the drill bit must be blunt as a normal drill bit went in no problem.
So I have ordered a new set of bits and some miniature files in the hope that I can sharpen the old ones as back-ups. If that doesn't work I am going to cry ...... I don't want to have to fork out for a new drill press that only gets used once in a blue moon.
