Worth waiting for

Probably the best crop of the year even though I"ve had  to finish the ripening process by putting them in a brown paper bag for a few days. The flavour is still good, but the skins are a little more tough than in a good Summer because of the long growing period. Luckily the temperatures have been reasonably mild this Autumn which undoubtedly have helped, with very few nights getting into single figures in the greenhouse.
