Early start for us this morning on our journey to Seville. We stopped off for lunch in a little town called La Manzanares. We were supposed to have a light lunch but unwittingly ordered a massive portion of mixed seafood. Mr P had to stop for more coffee on the way to Córdoba, where we’ve broken our journey. It was already after 5pm when we got to our hotel and so we hotfooted it into the centre so that we could visit the Mezquita (Mosque-Cathedral) which shuts at 7pm. We were lucky as it wasn’t very busy. The guide said that it’s always quieter in the evening and in the morning it’s mobbed. It was really spectacular! Up there with the Sagrada Familia and the Alhambra (for me anyway). We wandered around the rest of the city until about 10.30pm. Like in Granada, you get free tapas with your drinks. I wish we had more time to spend here. It’s an enchanting city.
