Leaving Ulaanbaatar

Day 8
It was an early start, but I could share a lift to the airport with Danni, a dear conference friend, and it was her birthday. A nice wait at the airport, plenty of time, drinking coffee and chatting, there were quite a few leaving the conference and getting on the same flight to Beijing.
Most were then getting another flight directly to Dalian, but I was stopping in Beijing for the weekend. I was brave, headed for the subway and found my way into the city with less than 3CHF, cheap and efficient and possible without cash. The hotel was v close to subway, which was planned. I spent a couple of hours catching up, then headed out around the Sanlitun neighborhood for a walk. I was absolutely blown away, the most amazing shopping area I’ve seen in my life.
