TV in the hospital

I went up to see Rory in the morning but as there were replacement bus services between Petersfield and Guildford,  it was a slow trip. As I approached this plaque in the grounds I stopped to read.  Shruti was a fictional character in the book and BBC show This is Going to Hurt’ and shockingly, ground down by the work she was doing and a sense of failure she kills herself.  I think she’s based on an amalgam of people but is fictionalised. They filmed some of this at the hospital and Rory on one of our ward shuffles went to look at a small gallery of stills from shows that had been filmed here.  

He was still feeling pretty ropey but perked up after a walk and a some time together.  Some friends were coming in the evening so I left him around 4.30 and went home.  
I got home around 7.30 and did some packing before having dinner and tidying up around the house a bit.
