Whitby Abbey

A wild morning with Storm Ashley hitting .
We went to Sandsend for coffee and shared a table with a father and son who lived locally . So friendly and interesting about the area .

Next, we visited Whitby Museum which is P’s favourite - always something new to notice there . We enjoyed the Steampunk exhibition which was really quirky ! ( See extras )

This afternoon using our new English Heritage Membership, we visited Whitby Abbey where they have a fascinating museum too . The YHA runs a tea room there do more refreshments and by the time we wandered round the ruins , the sun and blue skies had returned !

Dinner at the Fox and Hounds at Ainthorpe rounded off the day .
