Kath's Journal

Wren

Wrens are one of the tiniest of birds, with an ear-splitting voice.

Today we visited Tresco. That's Tresco, not Tesco. (There are no major supermarkets on the Scilly Islands, other than the Coop.) The island of Tresco is famous for it's sheltered terraced gardens. The subtropical gardens contain plants from around 80 different countries. Many of these plants wouldn't survive on the mainland.

Whilst exploring the island we got a glimpse of a couple of red squirrels, and an Osprey unexpectedly flew right over our heads.

Earlier in the day, and before sailing to Tresco, I got a shot of a black redstart. See extras.
