Ponds

Last #dundassite post was in June. Since then the site has been cleared of everything except some solar powered lights and a number of steel beams .. no site offices, no generators, no pumps to drain the ponds.  There's a new application for planning permission for less office space and new student accommodation Spurtle summary Details has a link to the pdf for the consultation meeting on 27 November. 

No sign of birds on the ponds yet .. there's another big shallow wet area on the far right edge of this image, just inside the far fence which is the edge of the George V park. 

Out for bread first thing, then to the Christian Aid book sale at the New Town Church on George St. The queue to enter stretched back to St Andrews Square at 10.00 am; the availability of books was rather limited, with at most 20 tables, of which nearly half were puzzles and music. Lots of pictures, prints, paintings ..

Out again in the afternoon to Inverleith in the sunshine. Two swans, and about nine tufted ducks, adults and this year's juniors.
