More Fungi

And this one is fascinating! I believe it's a Hare's Foot Inkcap or Coprinopsus lagopus. It's a species of fungi that is delicate and short-lived, the fruit bodies only lasting a few hours before dissolving into black ink!  I spotted a ton of these when I visited my friend's amazing garden in North Portland today. They have an incredible garden, still in its infancy, and I can't wait to watch it grow!

Earlier in the day, I met another friend at the Leach Botanical Garden in Southeast Portland and put a shot of the pollinator garden in its fall glory in the extra.
