Budapest Day Three

The benefits of working from Budapest today were mostly found on my lunch break. I went to a local park and found a bench to sit on and soak up the autumnal sunshine. A bit of blue sky is a wonderful thing when just about to enter the winter season.

After work I ran down to the city and across the chain bridge in the search of the shoe statues, which are about the only thing I remember from coming here about 20 years ago. Such a poignant reminder of the evils of humanity. And yet, we seemingly never learn these lessons from history and continue to brutalise each other on account of race, religion and territory. What a mess.
