Raindrops

Another dreary wet day.  I was off to a cycle class first thing and by the time I came out it was raining.  A quick last minute food shop and then back home.  Sourdough was baked, soup made and eaten and then my hairdresser arrived to cut my hair.

There was a dry spell in the afternoon and I managed to take a few shots of the tiny raindrops on the spiders webs in the garden.  Then it was back to sorting out items for our short trip tomorrow.  

My husband and I went out in the rain to the early showing of a film at the local film club.  It was Empire of light starring Olivia Colman amongst others.  The film opened with some beautiful photographic scenes but unfortunately there was a voice over describing each of the scenes so you ended up listening to the voice which was a few seconds ahead of the scene, eg " a woman wearing a raincoat enters the cinema.  She switches on the lights" and a few seconds later that happens, ugh it was driving me crazy.  About 5 minutes later they tried to adjust it to just written text but it didn't work and it was back to the voice over.  We left after another five minutes and will have to see it elsewhere.  In a way it was useful as it gave me time to return home and eat a relaxed tea before going out to the camera club.  It was a competition night and it sounded like the judge gave fair and useful comments on the prints and images.  I didn't put any in.
