Dirty washing
3years 274days
Katie decided to check very thoroughly that the laundry had in fact all been taken from the basket. She has no fear of the dark - she happily sits in the lockers at swimming completely closed and she sat in the basket with its lid full closed, not batting an eye lid.
She's enjoyed the day at nursery, there were just 14 of them in today, instead of the sometimes up to 40 on a term time day.
Swimming this afternoon. She proudly showed her swimming teacher several times how she can swim a length without putting her feet down. Her swimming teacher told me she's passed the final preschool swimming level and absolutely needs to be moved up to the first Grade of "big swimming". However I then listened to her arguing with The Boss because this is not meant to happen until children are at school. Eventually they agreed that Katie can move up as soon as she turns 4. This means that she'll do this level again but that course of lessons finishes the week she turns 4 so she will go straight into Grade 1 rather than having to wait a full year. Thankfully, the effort of getting her with a better teacher this block of lessons means that she's with a teacher who will actually teach her to Grade 1 or 2 (she can already do most of the Grade 1 requirements) as its a small class anyway.
We stopped for tea at the cafe and she ate a gigantic plate of beans, toast and scrambly egg. She said on the way back on the bike that she was very tired and would go to bed when she got in. In that bike ride, her second wind appeared to kick in and she wanted to do some writing when she got home. When it did come round to bedtime, we spent 20minutes going through the backstage book of the Lion King show - her current favourite bedtime read!
Katie's 3 things
Ella screwed tamsin's picture up and it made her sad, then ella cried when she was told off
We all wanted to play on the bikes and scooter but Kirsty said we couldnt (they were going to do an obstacle course in the bike area!)
There was only one scooter there.
I played with Brooke all day, not Tamsin and Ella.
