Kaikoura

We started the day with a nice breakfast on the Esplanade and then a little walk on the beach from where I took this photo. A dusting of snow overnight. 
We then had our whale watching trip. We decided to upgrade to the Captain's cabin and were so glad we did as we had lots more room inside and outside. We were advised that there was a high risk of sea sickness due to a 2 meter swell. We took sea sickness pills. W was fine but I felt a little queasy. It didn't detract from a wonderful trip though. We saw a humpback whale and dolphins circling our boat for the best part of 2 hours. As is often the case when taking photos in brilliant sunlight, and on the move, I didn't get too many good shots.
