Tuesday: Starlings

It was quite cold when we got up this morning, I’ve changed our heating timer so that it’s on for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening, 30 minutes has been enough during the last few months.

Grey and overcast and a chilly 5°C early morning then around 15°C for rest of the day. We did a quick shop in Waitrose. After lunch MrD went for a ride on his electric bike. I started pruning the yellow jasmine near the front door which has got too big … :-(

Starlings are back - about a dozen landed in the Cordyline when I was sitting outside at midday. Later there were about 50 flying around the trees near the main road - murmurations before too long!?

More episodes of “Foyles War” this evening …

ADDED LATER: I’d lit a fire late afternoon but it felt too warm, outside temperature at 10pm was 14°C, this weather is certainly peculiar :-((
