we had a trip to Bristol and picked up H and R and carried on to the seaside - going to Blue Anchor bay in the hope that we'd avoid the mud of the Bristol channel while minimising the amount of time spent driving with a 2 year old. This was a great benefit on the way back as we had bought a Noddy book from the steam railway's second hand selection. Even with heavy editing as we read, it was dire, so of course she loved it and wanted it read all the way home.
I took this shot just before we left - most of us day trippers had gone home, the tide was right in, and fishing was popular.
