The Terhills

Today we went for a walk in the Terhills nature reserve, located on the former site of the coal mine in the Hoge Kempen National Park. It is located near the Maasmechelen Village outlet center.
We are practicing for a walking week next week.We have already walked the route between Pieterburen and Echternach on many shorter and longer holidays, this time we want to walk further south from Echternach. 
Our hike today also included three slag heaps. Seemed like a tough exercise. 
After the indeed great effort, we could relax in the outlet center. No visiting shops, rather watching the visitors. It feels good that we don't need anything.
