Trixie's Adventures

A little bit of plastic

This afternoon I went for my walk down on the beach. I was a little bit annoyed because when Ann told me we were going to the beach, I immediately went to get my ball, but Ann said I wasn't going to play with my ball today. Boohooo! If I had my way, I'd play with my ball every day, but apparently it's not good for my joints to be constantly jumping for it. At least that's what Ann tells me. Personally, I think it's not good for puppies to be constantly jumping because their joints aren't properly formed. My joints are most definitely properly formed and I'm going to be six in November. Can you believe that?

Anyway, because I didn't have my ball, I had to make my own entertainment. First I played at rolling around on my back, and then I played at digging holes. And then........... guess what I found?................... a little bit of plastic. Normally I wouldn't dream of picking up plastic and putting it in my mouth. I'm not a silly little puppy after all. Ann thinks it must have had something stinky on it that I wanted to eat??!!

I put it in my mouth and clenched my jaws around it. Ann was a bit angry. She said, 'Trixie, that bit of plastic has got sharp edges on it. Do you really want to end up with a cut mouth?'  Well I didn't care did I? I knew that the way I was carrying it, wasn't going to cut me. I carried it all the way home only because Ann couldn't prise my jaws open to get it and then I took it straight out onto the sun terrace, put it underneath my chin, and lay 'guarding' it for half an hour.

…..............Then I came in for my dinner and Ann took her chance...................... She went outside onto our sun terrace, picked up my little bit of plastic and threw it in the bin...................... That wasn't very nice of her was it??????????????????
