Tiniest toadstool
Set off for a walk from the barn again. We retraced some of yesterday's walk on the way to Box Hill. The stepping stones were fun and not too slippery. The steps up to the top were hard work but worth it for the view. The cafe at the top was full of cyclists in full lycra and beautiful lightweight bikes. There were motorbikers too and then those that had driven up for a short walk.
We stopped for flapjack and coffee and then set off again for Juniper Hill and a circular route back to the Polesden Lacey estate. Walking was easy and no blocked footpaths this time. We stopped in Great Bookham for a bottle of wine and some biscuits and a quick sit down on a bench.
Tried out the huge roll top bath when we got back and then watched the football match and knitted. Went for a look at the bat holes to see if there was any activity but got too cold before I spotted any. We hadn't taken the bat detector so I'm not sure if they were still active.
Nice quiet evening with a film and more sock knitting. The barn was very cosy and nice to spend some time in.
