Balloon Fiesta

It's the closing day for this year's Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.  The weather has been great so a record number of flights were recorded.  In these photos, you can see a small fraction of the over 500 daily balloons launched over the very crowded facility.  Traffic often came to a standstill even on the Interstate highway (extra).  Sometimes, the balloons landed where they were not supposed to, like this cemetery (main photo).  Still, it was a safe event even though one balloon crashed into a radio antenna tower, but no one was hurt.
