Long tailed wotnot

We went into Gannat this morning to take a pictures of the wonderful display of multinational flags draped around the town. Mission accomplished successfully, BUT then it was decided that the bunting would be there another day and this "long tailed wotnot" might not be here again. It was almost 2 1/2 ins from tip to tail and R is convinced it is a "bloodsucker"! K thinks it is some kind of greenfly from the trees and perfectly harmless (particularly if it is kept outside the caravan and at a safe distance).
Memo to self We should stop blipping these "holiday creatures" as it will put others off possibly enjoying a super holiday.
38 today on the way back from the air-conditioned hypermarket in Vichy. Now there's an absolutely beautiful city .. .. .. Another day perhaps
