The geese return

This morning, I attended my first Diocesan Synod since my election. We did have an interesting journey around the back streets of Liverpool trying to find where to park.

This evening J and I went to Martin Mere to see the geese returning. We nearly didn't go due to the heavy rain as we were about to set off but we saw that there was a clear sky in the distance. We were lucky and there was no rain and a lovely sunset. We began to wonder whether the large numbers of geese expected were going to come in. They did so in the last fifteen minutes, when the light had gone too low for photos. This was the advanced party.
