Blue

Another day in the office.  As ever there was plenty to be getting on with.  A few colleagues drifted in, and I was grateful that I hadn’t had to go to a meeting in a location which is inaccessible by public transport, as I would have had to get up before the crack of dawn to get there for a 9am start.

I popped out at lunchtime to pick up a sandwich, only to find that he Sainsbury’s I often got to had a sign on the door saying it was permanently closed.  I therefore popped into M&S, as I hadn’t much time to go elsewhere, only to find that its lunchtime offering was pretty much cleared out and the queues at the tills were enormous.  I did manage to find something  and also a till where I didn’t have to wait too long.  I then bumped into a colleague and we walked back to the office together.

I went out for dinner to Dishoom with a couple of colleagues.  It was a long overdue catch up wot wish one of them well in her new job.  We had had a lunch organised back in the summer, but it had to be postponed at the last minutes due to work commitments,. So we changed to an after work dinner.  We had a lovely evening, and then all went our separate ways.  I just missed a bus, so had to kill a bit of time, and ended up getting a slow bus home, but the journey didn’t seem as tortuous as it sometimes does.  As I was scrolling through my phone on the way home, I saw that friends had posted pictures of the aurora.  Once home TT and I looked for the aurora and saw it, but it was very faint.  I think the colours were much more vivid earlier in the evening – but it was good to see it again.

BB had been home for rugby training, and once he was back in Glasgow he gave me a late night call.  I had to cut it short, as I really needed my bed.

No images of the aurora, but I did spot that the Bank of Scotland HQ was lit up blue tonight, I’m not sure why.
