Morning sun

There was a very chilly wind on the walk down to the village hall this morning, but the sun shining made it a lovely one. It is a short walk just to the bottom of the hill but set me up for a busy morning on my feet. It was a full house today. Maybe the attraction of Angela, the pie lady, was instrumental in the numbers! Her homemade pies, quiches, tarts and cakes are delicious. The huge spread she started with was soon diminished to just about nothing! The room was full of chatter and laughter as always, like one big happy family!
Tomorrow it is the harvest festival at the church and then the auction of produce in the hall after the service. Another busy tea serving session I'm sure! Hopefully I'll get a hand with the washing up as my friend Kath is away; we usually do these events together.  I'm sure there will be a volunteer, there always is.
