Loch Fleet heron
It was fun to show Munroist and Mr C some of our favourite haunts around here. They were not familiar with the Easter Ross peninsula, so that was all new to them, but they did know the road out to Lairg and back through Rogart to the Mound because of Mr C's family connections to Bonar Bridge. Like most people, we did a bit of dodging of showers today, but mostly the weather was fine. Quite a bit of sunshine, which was rather surprising. Chilly, though.
After our best-ofs tour, we chilled at home and they went back to their van for a while, before I served a snacks supper, giving us a bit more time to chat with them before our drinks guests arrived. Another fun evening with Tain friends, also meeting friends from elsewhere, finishing just after 11.30. There was time for me to load the dishwasher, wipe the kitchen down quickly and slump into bed just after midnight.
