Clear head and cold body

A lovely wee outing with L and P this morning, to join some Kyle of Sutherland swimmers on their regular 9am Friday swim in Loch Migdale. It was raining a little bit when we arrived, but as we emerged after a 15 minute swim - long enough to swim from the yellow boat to the buoy and back - the loch was looking glorious. Loch water is probably by this time of year colder than sea water. A reflection of the yellow boat and a selfie taken by U in the extras. I felt set up for the day.

The rest of the day was spent in communion with my laptop, bar a couple of online meetings. I sorted through a pile of things "to do".

Munroist and Mr C arrived down at the Links around 5.30pm after a long journey, and joined us a little later via a trip to the supermarket. It was lovely to see them. We (i.e. both of us) had not seen them (i.e. both of them) since January 2022, when an outdoor fish lunch after a walk out to St Abbs Head was all we could manage by way of breaking bread together. It was rather more comfortable today!
