Saturday: Pickstock
I don’t think I’ll be back in downtown Belize City again. One place I’ve wanted to see was Pickstock Street where George Cadle Price, the Father of the Nation, was born and brought up so I made Humberto, my driver, do a detour as we headed out. This is on the junction but I’ve posted an extra of George Price’s house. He was one of 9 children and, as you can see, the house was humble.
Back in Belmopan by mid morning. The rest of the day was quite relaxed with a little bit of packing thrown in.
I have to make a slight amendment to my teaser of a few days ago. Our next destination does have palm trees in a few locations but it’s not readily associated with palm trees.
