Notes: Woke just before 3a - had windows open in all but bedroom to cool the place off (still no power). Heard a loud engine and went to living room - generator was running down below and pumping exhaust into my place - was full and toxic! I was pretty mad, got in car and decided to drive a little for gas. Found the Wawa on Missouri and got in an enormous snaking line - took about 40 min (at 330a in the morning). Went back and tried to keep working inside but was way too smelly. Took devices to clubhouse to charge and online then till 630a - went back and no change, still dark, banged on the door and asked them to pls turn it off - they did thankfully! Let that filter out and kept working. Just before 9a, went to Uhaul place but no one there and no trailer. Made a couple calls and they sent me a bit further north - still hit or miss whether traffic lights have power. Got the trailer, called to make sure storage was open and headed back and started loading. Did quite a bit and then Eric came over and helped (thank goodness!). Headed to storage 11a - gratefully traffic flowed pretty well. Called and talked to Michelle, running on empty and got pretty emotional trying to catch her up a bit. Ellen met me at storage and we actually had a decent time figuring it all out - thought much wouldn't fit but we got it all in! We're both exhausted and at wits end (and her fave uncle just died this morning) but it went well. Heard from Jo then and we did a Signal call all the way back to the Clearwater Uhaul - really helped a lot. Back to my place and still lots to do to clear out and everything yet to load ... took quite awhile. Finally was able to dig out a few things to eat and then kept loading and cleaning, packing out. Finally took a curtainless shower (and got quite a bit of water on the floor) and then cleaned up bathroom as best I could as well as kitchen and final things. Just before 7p, was fully out (sad in some ways). Moved down to one of the Canadians units where my food is and Eric & Linda are using some and have access to - they agreed to let me sleep on the couch and pack my food in the morning and return key as I pull out. Called mom and dad finally and ready to drop! Need to sleep some and then pull out and get on the road early. Absolutely crazy day w/ all kinds of obstacles ... but kept believing and going and they all worked out!
